16.08.2004 flying to new homes in US

arival at departure KLM animal hotel Schiphol.

Lori and Pickels.

It is going to be fine my baby pickels.

goodbye my babies

We love you and follow you everwhere you are in the world, don't ever forget that.
Lori and Jan, your Rave and Sanna parents, aunties Mischa and Kes and grandfather Kal-el and your brothers and sister in europe.
Bye Bye

14.08.2004 Today the puppies had their 10 week worming, so they also had a weigh in.
This will be the last weigh in here for the 8 that are flying on Monday.

I thought you might like to see how much they weight now….
(Keep in mind a few squirmed so much on the scale that some are not completely accurate!!)

From heavy to light… (They are getting to be big kids.)

1 White Anubis 7.4 kilos 16.6 pounds/oz
2 green Killian 7.2 16.0
3 grey Bogie 7.1 15.10
3 orange Sherlock 7.1 15.10
4 yellow Howell 6.9 15.5
5 blue 6.8 15.0
5 black 6.8 15.0
6 pink Pickles 6.7 14.8
7 red Marley 6.4 14.1
8 brown Lita 6.1 13.8

The weather is cooperating on this side with nice moderate temps. There is even a chance of rain predicted for Monday, which would be ideal for nice cool temperatures.

They all had their nails ground with the dremel tool today, so they will be okay for awhile.

Tomorrow will be bathing day. I hope they are still clean when they arrive. The last vaccination this past Wednesday was a strong one. It included Lepto, which has made them a bit runny for the first time ever. I am doing everything I can to clear it up quick!

But everyone is happy, bouncy and ready to fly.

How I will remember each of the kids going to the US…

Anubis – I affectionately call him Moose as he has such big feet. He reminds me the most of his Grandpa Kal-el. Sweet, kind, very mellow and very patient.

Killian – Another joy. Sweet, kind, affectionate, patient and happy.

Bogie – Lover boy. One of my shadows that is at my heels all the time. Very affectionate and always wants to please.

Sherlock – The wild child. Thank goodness his new owner is a fitness trainer. You will need to be in shape to keep up with Sherlock. Exhuberant, happy and loving!

Howell – An easy boy. Always willing, patient, loving and kind.

Pickles – wins the intelligence award, she has figured out how to climb up anything and get into everything. Always a shadow, extremely loving and funny.

Marley – Another easy going boy. Very loving, patient, sweet, happy and kind!

Lita – The sweetest baby in the litter. Extremely sweet and quiet. Never demanding, always patient. A true joy.
